Distressed Denim

Lately, I've had an obsession with distressed anything which now includes this jacket from Shop Love Yourz. Okay, I have like a billion denim jackets but adding one more to my collection won't hurt anyone except my closet- I seriously can't fit anything in it anymore.

What makes this denim jacket special is the distressed details all over it. I usually wear a size 1X but I found that the 2X fit better not because it runs small- I wanted it to fit me a little over-sized. One of my favorite combinations is mixing denims or what you may know as the 'Canadian Tuxedo'.

The key to mixing denim is by combining different washes or shades like my outfit today. I paired my light washed jacket with darker washed jeans. I found that wearing a darker wash at the bottom and lighter on top can be very flattering. I broke up the denim with a black bodysuit and matching over the knee boots and completed my look with my favorite accessory- a pair of retro sunnies.
