Tie Dye
Tie dye is no longer a blast from the past. This print was super groovy in the 60's and 70's. Now, it has come back in a darker tone and not just in t-shirts but in this bodysuit from Shop Love Yourz. This bodysuit hugs the curves just right and has an edgy choker detail- a big trend this season. Tie dye is usually a print you wear during summer but it can also be a fun print for fall. Distressed shorts and tie dye are the best mix ever- they just work. Of course it's fall so layering is key. Under my shorts I wore black tights and over the knee socks. Don't…

Patch Up & Camo
Patches are one of falls biggest trends. They make for a fun DIY project or you can find one with patches already on them like this one from Pink Clubwear. I love the camo print. This print goes with everything just like polka dots and leopard.Style Tip: Create a fitted silhouette on a lose dress with a knot on the side.A camo jacket has become a wardrobe staple. It's casual and comfy. Wear it with jeans, skirts, or like I did with a dress. I chose a little black dress with a lace-up detail and knotted the dress to provide a more fitted shiloutte. I finished the look with taupe booties…

Hispanic Heritage Month
Each year, the United States celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. It's the time that we celebrate and recognize histories, cultures and contributions by Hispanic Americans and our ancestors. It's also the time that many Latin American countries celebrate the anniversary of their independence. #HispanicHeritageMonth to me means, when all Latinos can unite together and celebrate who we are and inspire one another. My family came from Guatemala and during this month I celebrated Guatemala's Independence Day. I couldn't be prouder to be a Chapina. JCPenney honors Hispanic Heritage Month by turning the attention to inspirational Latino men and women. These inspirational people help motivate us to achieve greater things and find our voices. I…

Sporty Jumpsuit
I've definitely have embraced the sporty trend and I love a good jumpsuit too. When both world's meet you best believe I'm wearing it. This jumpsuit from Pink Clubwear is comfy and casual. I love the side stripe detail on both sides. It kind of reminds me of a 90's Adidas track suit. This jumpsuit is great by itself worn with some sneakers. I wanted to spice it up a little. I wrapped a plaid shirt around my waist. Is it just me or wrapping a button down shirt is more than just convenience but a fashion statement? I traded in my sneakers for an edgier pair- booties with the perplex heel. This…

Distressed Denim
Lately, I've had an obsession with distressed anything which now includes this jacket from Shop Love Yourz. Okay, I have like a billion denim jackets but adding one more to my collection won't hurt anyone except my closet- I seriously can't fit anything in it anymore. What makes this denim jacket special is the distressed details all over it. I usually wear a size 1X but I found that the 2X fit better not because it runs small- I wanted it to fit me a little over-sized. One of my favorite combinations is mixing denims or what you may know as the 'Canadian Tuxedo'. The key to mixing denim is by…
